A website designed to showcase the rich cultural and historical heritage of Bhavnagar, providing authentic information on monuments, historical events, and local culture. Drawing from my experience as a former Heritage Manager, I conducted in-depth research to ensure the accuracy of the content. The site is designed with a user-friendly interface for easy navigation and accessibility, catering to both locals and heritage enthusiasts.

Content Curation: Sourcing authentic and accurate data about Bhavnagar’s heritage and ensuring it is well-organized for user consumption.

Solutions
Which I applied,
I envision incorporating heritage map showcasing all the heritage sites in the city. This feature will enhance user experience by allowing visitors to easily navigate and explore the rich cultural history of the area. The map will serve as a valuable resource, making it simpler for users to discover and learn about various sites at their own pace.
I've added hyperlinks to Google Maps on each heritage monument's information page. This allows users to easily check the precise locations of the monuments while reading the information, enhancing their understanding and making planning visits more convenient.
I created a section titled "Conservation," highlighting the efforts of the Bhavnagar Heritage Society in restoring the city's heritage monuments. This section includes vibrant features such as photos and videos, along with link to that monument that redirect users to its history section. This not only enriches the content but also provides a deeper connection to the monuments' significance and ongoing preservation efforts.
I’ve added an education reference section with relevant links aimed at student users. This will provide them with valuable resources and information related to heritage conservation and management, making it easier for them to engage with the topic and enhance their learning experience.
Key Features
I thought and applied,
To increase engagement, I added a photo gallery feature where visitors can submit their photos related to heritage sites. This interactive element not only showcases community involvement but also enhances the site's appeal, helping to broaden its reach and encourage more visitors to participate and connect with the heritage of the city.
I introduced a "Heritage Happenings" section that highlights all the activities organized by the Bhavnagar Heritage Society. This feature aims to spark curiosity among users about upcoming events, encouraging them to participate and engage with the heritage community. It serves as a platform to keep visitors informed and excited about what's happening next in heritage preservation and activities.
Theme
Inspiration,
The website's color scheme was inspired by the flag of Bhavnagar state before independence, featuring a rich maroon and white palette. This choice not only reflects the region's historical significance but also adds a distinctive and meaningful aesthetic to the site, enhancing its connection to local heritage.
Design

I designed the website to be fully responsive, ensuring it fits and functions seamlessly on all types of screens, from desktops to mobile devices. This provides users with an optimal browsing experience, no matter what device they are using.
